Dear Mickey

I find the attitude in your letter not not to be of someone who sincerely wants to be of service. You got the money, have not had to do anything, and seem to be trying to keep it as long as possible.

The proper thing to do, when a project is cancelled and nothing done, is to simply return the money in full. I offered $200 as a more than reasonable fee for the 2 hours spent looking over the situation.

You did not return calls within a reasonable time. You think I like having to take my time to call you? No. I had to spend a lot of time. You could have saved it by simply returning my call, so we could work it out.

I offered to hire you as originally planned, and just complete the project. Then the consulting time would have value to me. But you declined.

Therefore, I would like all my money back, $2500.

As it is evident that you already used the money for other things, I am willing to work out a repayment plan. Here is what I propose.

You have already had over month of use of the funds, interest free.

I will use the $100 payment, but this does NOT obligate me to any agreement. That brings it to $2400.

The payments must be $400 per month, payable on the 1st of each month for 5 months

Missing the repayment date, unless prior arrangements have been made, will result in filing in small claims court for the remainder due, plus court costs and attorney fees.

Since the consulting time was not agreed upon or even quoted in advance, it is unpaid proposal work.

There are no material costs authorized for this project. Any material costs much be agreed upon in advance with my signature. I reserve the right to obtain a second quote for all material costs.
